Hi -
I use the DirecTV IP Commands with GREAT success with the exception of using the numeric characters to setup Favorite channel buttons - they work some of the time but most of the time they do not. I have tried using various delays with little or no improvement.
Any ideas of how I can improve my results?
Also, I am aware there are IP commands for the channel numbers without having to use individual numeric characters - does anyone happen to have these available to share?

Yep. You can tune to any station with this command:
http://[IP of your DirecTV box]:8080/tv/tune?major=212 <<< "212" being the channel
http://[IP of your DirecTV box]:8080/tv/tune?major=212 <<< "212" being the channel
