Clipsal CBus

Post by Andysco » Mon Jul 22, 2013 2:48 pm

Hi, I was looking for a ipad/phone app that would let me do a number of things including the following;

1. Reduce the number of remotes on my couch
2. Make it easy for the family (and me) to select viewing options from one remote e.g. turn on PS3 change TV to HDMI 4 etc.
3. Control equipment in cupboard (tried ir extenders but none of the cheap ones work especially with Sky! (using IP to IR converter)
4. Perhaps use as a XBMC controller.

When looking I found that the Demopad seems to be able to do what I want and when I found it has Clipsal CBus support then it was perfect.

I have a Cbus system installed in my house (c/w Ethernet i/f) and I can select scenes in various room and the lights go on/off in my bathrooms etc.

I have looked the forums and I can’t work out if the software still supports my CBus system. I am not an AV professional but I did install and commission the system and I am an electrical/electronic engineer so feel I can handle this project.

Also mentioned is an "in app" purchase for the Cbus system. Do I need this and how much is it?

Any help would be appreciated. ANdy
