Apple TV 4K and Kayo App

So I have Demopad working nicely with Apple TV 4K via IR commands.
And it works great with all the apps. except Kayo.
None of the playback buttons work at all.
The Kayo app seems to exclusively use the touchpad which can't be replicated via the Apple TV 'learn remote' functionality.
Has anyone got any ideas?
