When I change the selection in the 'Action Type' drop down box of a button it changes the Action Type on all the buttons on the page...
why is this? and how do you stop it?

It shouldn't alter any of the commands on buttons, it just remembers the action type you entered last, assuming that you will be doing the same thing the next time - this feature was actually requested by users who, for example, wanted to set lots of flags on buttons, then go back & enter lots of device commands, so it stopped them having to select the action type each time.
