So a bit has happened since 2011

Post by wilsonj » Mon Sep 25, 2023 10:31 am

Hi all,

I started using Demopad back in 2011 when I built my home theatre. It has been essential for integration with a lutron controller as well as IP2IR and other devices.
Since then we have had children, and not much time to enjoy the room.
Now we have recently updated some network devices, which has prompted me to revisit Demopad designer (Ver1.195).

I'd really like to redesign my setup, as several devices have changed over the years.

Is the yearly subscription model the only option available ? No local only option? Other than the one I have, which of course is very dated.

Just trying to play a bit of catch up!

Cheers

I had a similar issue. Contacted Demopad support directly and they sent me a link to the last release of Version 2

Oh nice. I have contacted them also, so hopefully they are willing to let me continue using the free version.

Although I would be happy to pay, if it meant I could get the latest version. But I wonder, can you continue using the ios app, ( eg the actual remote), after your subscription expires? And just need to renew if you want to use the designer software?

Correct - the subscription only relates to use of the Designer software. The app would continue to work, regardless of the subscription status of the Designer software used to create the project.
