How do you know which codeset for your device?

Post by rhett7660 » Tue Jan 16, 2018 10:06 pm

Hello,

I have tried googling the above question but have been unable to find an answer. How do you know which "codeset" you are supposed to be using from the drop down list for your device?

I could see testing it out, but some of the devices have a lot of different codesets so I was hoping someone might know a website or location I can check to see which one I should be using.

The IR database in the software is Global Cache's - which organises by codeset - you might find it easier to use their new Tower IR database which organises by model number. The email files which it provides can be directly imported into DemoPad using import txt file within pre-defined commands. See https://irdb.globalcache.com

Ahhhh, thank you so much. I was using them already, but just for the individual codes not the entire set. That makes sense. Thank you.
