Volume ramping up.

Hi.
Wondered if anyone else has had this problem. Volume up and down are set to repeat when page loads, dependant on flags. Then volume buttons put flag up when pressed and down when released.
This all works very well except for the odd occasion when the ipad is woken to adjust volume and it keeps ramping up to max even after releasing the button. It's a customers house and I've never experienced the problem which makes me think it not a programing issue but perhaps is caused by a momentary loss on network access when the button is released.
Is there a solution or something I may heve overlooked?
