When using Centro C app remote connection setup everything works fine remotely until the app is closed - re opening the app kills the handshake and will not re-connect until I am back on my own network. However the paid Demopad app works 100% all of the time from anywhere!
How does the handshake work, how long does it stay connected before it re-interrogates the connection?

Are you saying you are able to control a Centro-C outside the network, using the 'Remote Access' setting on the iOS device, the first time, and it works until you close the app - then re-opening it does not work? Or are you controlling other equipment as well?
If you start the app up, and it cannot establish a connection to a Centro, then it will stop working. It should make no difference whether the connection is local or remote.
