How to get started...

Post by Guus » Mon Dec 22, 2014 12:36 am

Hi all,

I need a little hand to know Demopad.

Perhaps i thinking to difficult but i'am stuck. I followed some tuturials, wich show's me how to set up "devices" and commands.
Now,
I have a Global Cache module IP/IR with 3 outputs.

Do i need to configure one component (TV or receiver etc..) per output ?

How does the filestructure working ?
Why does they have different map symbols for source (see the yellow highlight)
Sorry folks, i'am confused, try to figure out....

A device in the software is a network destination, eg if you have an IP2IR working on port 4998 - that is one device. You don't need to add a device for each component it is controlling (TV, DVD etc) - they should be folders of commands within the device.

Sub pages are smaller areas of a page which can be placed on a main page - useful for bringing on remote controls etc, and they can be used across several pages. Subpages have the yellow icon.

The file structure in terms of pages / subpages is entirely decided by you - you add as many pages / sub pages as you need and program how to navigate between them using page jump actions.

Hope this helps...
