Global Cache IP2SL Feedback problems

Post by dreeve » Wed Dec 17, 2014 6:58 pm

Hi all,

I'm having trouble getting Demopad to work with feedback from an IP2SL which is controlling a Mode NPU. Demopad is sending commands and controlling the NPU via the IP2SL without any issues and using iTest I can see feedback getting to the IP2SL from the NPU. My problem is that I can't seem to get Demopad to react to this feedback, so I'm assuming that it is my errors somewhere in the app software.

This is what I have set up in the 'configure 2-way' window for the IP2SL interface:

Name WALK IN
Condition Type feedback matches specific data
Data SCENE4GO
Device Response Terminator \xOD

The actions assigned to this condition are two flags-
Group:lights OFF
WALK IN ON

this highlights a button using the flag WALK IN in the highlight edit box, there is no text in the highlight edit box as I just want the highlighted image to show.

I have tried having the NPU send 'SCENE4GO\xOD' but this doesn't work either.

do I need to have the data in hex format for demopad to see it?

Many thanks in advance,

Dave.

The response terminator should be \x0D if the unit sends a hex byte 0D at the end of each response. (not \xOD - \x0D - a zero).

If you set your flag manually with another button does the button highlight as expected?

Do you have 'maintain active connection' ticked against the device?
