onkyo tx-sr608 ir learning

hi all ,just setting up demopad for the first time and im having a little trouble learning the codes for the onkyo tx-sr608 av amp with the keene kira 128 module ,im using the original remote and all is ok when learning vol+ and vol- but when i try and learn bd/dvd and cbl/sat etc it wont except the the code when i use the test function. ive also tried the codes listed on the remote central site which are pronto codes but still no luck. any help or advice much appreciated thanks
