xbmc artwork as label causes app crash

Hi I have been using Demopad to control my various XBMC installations with no problem for months, but following (or at least so it seems to coincide) a recent update (may even be IOS 8) everytime I select an xbmc instance with a video playing - this would in turn display the artwork however this now causes the app to crash.

If there is no video playing and hence no artwork everything is fine.

Can you confirm which version of the app (presume you are using DemoControlHD) you are using? 1.6.6 is the current release.

yes "democontrolHD" 1.6.6 tried on both iphone and ipad and both crash back to apple home screen.

I have checked the JSON reply using my pc browser and nothing has changed in XBMC. The version of XBMC is Gotham 13.2.
