The 'Serial Number' is given when you become a 'Professional Installer', it allow you to access modules for faster integration of control systems.

The following is a clip from their site about the DemoPad professional installer:

We have also recently launched our new Certified Installer accreditation programme, available to those professionals committed to delivering world class automation and control solutions with DemoPad.

These companies and individuals have all attended and passed our comprehensive software training programme, followed by completion of an assessed project within a defined timescale to ensure only the best qualified can achieve accreditation. DemoPad Certified Installers have the direct support and access to our technical team to ensure the success of your project."
