Hi all I'm wanting to install some security systems in my house for example door entry, alarm and CCTV all obviously to work with demopad. I'm not to sure what route I should take if there are any. Any input from you knowledgeable bunch would be highly appreciated.

First and formost when it comes to security, install a stable and reliable platform. However, it is also to ensure that it has some scalablilty as well as features which will allow some form of addons.
It all boils down to what level of control you actually desire from your systems. Basic alarm controls such as 'silence' 'activate' 'reset', may all be achievable by using specific NO/NC contacts within the control box.
Best thing to do if not already is ensure what level of functionality you require. But also consider other security factors associated with alarm system integration. (Especially over an IP Network).
