Any cheaper options than Rako For Lighting

I would love Rako lighting but far to expensive for my budget just yet.
Any thoughts on LightwaveRF or Z-Wave etc for controlling lighting via DemoPad ?
The lightwaveRF does look nice and cheap but no two way control/feedback.
Also adding a Heating system is on the cards too. Something where ti works as normal but I can boost the heating or hot water when required outside and away.
