RaspberryPi as a touch panel?

How cool would it be to use a Raspberry Pi and the official RPi Touchscreen for a $95 touch panel that could easily be mounted in the wall as a permanent touch panel? How hard would it be to port the Centro-Control app to something like Raspbian or other RPi compatible distros?

The Centro-8M launches this month and is based on a Raspberry Pi and will sell under US$ 100 check out the specification http://www.demopad.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=5678
