Demopad keeps jumping out of app

Hi everyone I've installed demopad onto an iPad and has been working a treat , but for some reason recently one a button is pushed. It opens the page actions for about 2 seconds then jumps out of the app altogether onto the home screen of the iPad.

Any help would be great

You'll need to send your project .pad file in to support@demopad.com with a description of which button causes the problem for us to duplicate & advise.

We have occasionally seen that after an app update a power down / power on of an iOS device clears the problem, so that is worth a try.

I think there is a real issue with the latest app release.
The App is crashing on certain commands or should I say it appears it's crasing on what is returned by certain device commands.

I have multiple ios devices, a couple have been updated to 2.176, the rest are still on 2.172.
Without fail the two ios devices running 2.176 crash when an RS232 On command is sent to my Samsung TV when the TV is Off, it does not crash if the TV is already On.
There is no feedback setup in the applications for the Samsung yet, but I did trace what the Samsung returns.
It returns the same info if it is On or Off, except if it is Off it has multiple nulls following the status data.

All the devices still on 2.172 do not crash with ths same commands and projects.

This is the only command I have found so far that is causing this issue, but it is 100% repeatable.

can you post an example of the returned data, so that we can duplicate with Hercules sending data to the app - when you say 'null' do you mean hex bytes of 00?

And which version of the app are you using? And is this data being routed through a centro?

I will send you an email with the Hercules data, the Samsung app was showing nulls but it wasn't.
I gave the app ios versions above and the designer version is what ever the latest version is, all were loaded from same version.
Yes the RS232 commands are via the Centro in all cases (other than the Hercules data I am sending)

ok will investigate - the latest current app version is 1.6.2 (check in the settings of the iOS app), the latest PC designer software is version 2.176.

Ok - we've managed to duplicate an issue with the latest version when any hex bytes FF are returned from a device linked to a Centro (either linked via TCP, or on an RS232 connection). We will issue a fix for this within 48 hours once we confirm & test the fix.

Sorry got my head wrapped around and gave the Designer app numbers.
It is 1.62 that is causing the issue.

Version 1.6.3 has been submitted to Apple which deals with this issue. The solution in the mean time is not to link any device to the Centro which returns non-ascii characters as feedback data.

im also having trouble with demopad keep closing but i havent any feedback going.
i have a ipad 2 and 3. cant seem to see any patterns at the moment but when demopad is just left open it will shut after a minute or so.
any advice?

It has been 10 days and still no release in the App Store ???
