Sky HD RS232 Feedback

Hi

Does any body know if its possible to display the data being sent from the RS232 port on the sky boxes?

I've seen it working on Crestron and Savant Systems.

It should be possible but you will need to manipulate the data as it sent in a string. But the difference between this and the systems you mention are that they have processor boxes which obtain and process the data in the string. It is immediately ready for the iPad to read. The Sky signal is only sent every 30 or 60 s (I don't remember which) so if it is used with Demopad you may have to wait for the data to arrive which doesn't look too impressive. The Sky plus app is better!
