Some Kind of Media Player Control

Post by dansonamission » Sat Aug 25, 2012 4:31 pm

Hi, I am trying to find a media player that I can control via demopad. Such as the apple remote, but from within demopad. A webpage would be alright as I can skin that and add to demo pad.

Ideally I would like to be able to control itunes running on my server and be able to choose my airplay locations.

If not, are there any other media players out there that run on windows and are airplay enabled with ip control.

Thanks

Have you looked into XBMC and operate via a web page from within Demopad?

Nope not yet. Can you get feedback from that?

Such as track info.

Installed it last night on a windows server 2011 essentials, but it will not run. I thinks it's a graphics issue.

How do you display the current song playing in demopad?

Configure XBMC as a webpage in Demopad and if you want to the current song display, install the add-on AWX, it would be the best one there for that purpose.

With it not running from Windows server, you have set up port forwarding on your router and assigned the XBMC a IP address with port?

The server is running in my home so there is no need to alter my router.

The issue is With graphics as the the server is headless and is controlled via RDP or HP's lightsout management, ie, KVM over ip.

Haven't had chance to try it again yet, do you know what config file I need to edit to make xbmc run in a window?

Thanks

Lack of iTunes control is bugging me now.

I see irule as a built in iTunes remote now.
