Pioneer AVR post 2016 cmds & feedback
The attachment is actually my entire .pad in a Zip. Apologies since there is much non relevant stuff relative to the subject title. What you can review: Commands for Pioneer AVR's 2016+ (VSX-932 for me), which have adopted the Onkyo IP control protocol; for anyone still looking for the complete comm...

Processing of hex values returned in 2-way feedback
Just to recap... Post 2016 Pioneer AVR's have adopted the Onkyo protocol. For volume control and feedback, this protocol uses a two byte value with an ASCII representation of a hex value. For example, the VSX-932 has a volume range of 00 to C8, equivalent to 0 to 200 in decimal. Except that 'C8' is...

Pioneer AV IP control, post 2016
Anyone come up with a working DC1 for the new IP control approach for Pioneer AV receivers 2016 and later?

Re: Philips Hue Feedback
Just a hunch but have you tried to debug with Hercules or whatever to visualize what the Hex terminator actually is in the Hue responses?
Just a wild guess, but that double quote, although legal AFAIK, might cause issue. You may want to replace it with a dot.

Re: Philips Hue Lights
I have the majority of my commands routed through the Centro-8M and have so far experienced no delay, but no Philips Hue Lights.
It would be interesting to track down whether it simply was the Centro-8M starting the communication late or some latency during the IP conversation.

DemoPad,
Not to put you on the spot, but it would be interesting to hear your comments on this suggestion. Thanks.

Re: Pro version of Designer: suggestion for new subscription model
Am I the only hobbyist to need the Pro Designer version?
Other hobbyists chiming in would obviously add to the possibility of this materializing. It would be interesting to hear from the community.

Pro version of Designer: suggestion for new subscription model
DemoPad made clear the need for recurring revenues when the cloud options were introduced. I've counted around 15 versions of Designer since 2.153 that mention "Pro only" features. For those of us enthusiasts deeply involved in automation, several of those "Pro only" features are essential in saving...

Re: Has the demopad forum died?
I review the forum daily, most often disappointed to see no new posts. It does seem DemoPad has put more emphasis on the professional installer business: just look how the DemoPad Partners section has expanded. This approach is quite understandable: let's face it, DemoPad software is not for the mas...

Re: Lightwave RF version 2 products
Not available in the Americas I presume. Too bad, more competition leads to better (and usually less expensive) products.

Re: Centro-8M IR learning capability and Port Setup 2-way feedback
The Centro-8M does not have IR learning capability. I assume you mean setting up the optional RS232 port, not IR ports (which are 1-way). This is done via the web setup page. You need the RS232 Centro-8M cable. I assumed the Centro-8M's IR was similar to Global Caché's iTach which is 2-way. Thanks ...

Centro-8M IR learning capability and Port Setup 2-way feedback
I just noticed in 2.327 "Centro-CM IR Learning functionality". Is there any chance this capability is built in to the Centro-8M and, if so, any documentation?
Also, is there any documentation on setting up the Centro-8M IR ports, especially on 2-way feedback?

Re: Insteon Hub 2245-222 - Pre-Defined Commands
For some reason, I missed your post back in April. If still relevant, add \x0D\x0A to the command itself, as well as specifying the suffix as \x0D\x0A on the device properties tab. Also, specify http 1.0 instead of 1.1. So your command should look like this: GET /3?02623547270F12FF=I=3 HTTP/1.0\x0D\...

Re: Centro-8M: unreachable after power outtage
Just a heads up. We had a power failure and, once power was back, the client devices could not 'see' the Centro-8M. I didn't have time to investigate so I just powered off/on the Centro-8M and all was good. The latest firmware update 2.1.2 deals with some reported issues surrounding network reconne...
