Re: CENTRO-M
I see that the release of the Centro (M) has created lots of forum activity! and lots of questions. It is still early days with regards to what can be done with this device, so can I remind everybody that the cost of a Centro C at your main equipment rack and then 4/5 Centro M's at each of your TVs ...

Re: Demopad - Plans for Android app??
Yes, not much general info on the Android App. It is easy to download the .apk file, but to install this manually you first need to go into you Android settings and enable "Unknown Sources" probably in security menu. Secondly you will need a file manager application to identify your download. I use ...

IFTTT
Has anybody have experience with IFTTT https://ifttt.com ?
I would like two things, 1) turn my power amps off when I am away from the house using geo ref. 2) set a IF THAT heating command from within Demopad.

HDL integration
I have just a few existing KNX projects from very recent years. What would be involved in integrating these onto a HDL system?
I assume I would need a KNX interface and ethernet gateway??
Can this be done without reprogramming the KNX lighting, heating and blinds???
Thanks Tony

Re: DemoControlHD Users Forgotten?
I see where my problem was. I was using and apdapting old projects for new jobs, these tree listed multible IP devices which I had long since dead ended (killed the pages of) were qualifying additional purchase fees. So of course it asked me for in App purchase costs, not knowing that i was being la...

Re: DemoControlHD Users Forgotten?
It does seem like a big change. This must have been thought through, the problem with subscriptions also is that you tend to cancel them when not in use. I assume that it is ok to setup multiple free accounts for your clients then just pay the in app purchase fees for each project? It also says that...

Re: Nat reflection
Thanks Mike. Unfortunatley the Sumsung Horizon router I have also blocks VPN using UDP. The only solution I have is to bridge to an Asus router flashed with DD-WRT (this has worked for me before).

Nat reflection
When setting up a device for external IP operation. Internal IP and port is set, public IP and port also set, I am having trouble with a Samsung router which will not pass the packet through the firewall from inside the network. Has anyone got experience of Nat deflection allowing 2 way comms?

Re: automation by calendar
I used an astronomical time clock connected to the lighting system to do a similar action. works 100% every time no call backs! You can get a din-rail time clock with volt free contacts from an electrical wholesalers. The Centro digital outputs also work well with a DIY Rf power plug set for turning...

Re: Colour Wheel
Mike, the colour wheel is instead of using three gauges. Your right it needs three sets of number variables to work. But this is a lighting application typically used with Lutron, Rako or iLight. On the pro software these may come with modules that would be easiest. Or you can as you say use number ...

Re: somfy
You can control Somfy from inside the App with your own graphics, the part you require is Somfy RS485 RTS to IP unit. This is not cheap but gives your 16 channels blinds/shades/curtains/lights. You simply connect this to a Global Cache serial device via a 485 to 232 cheap convertor. For the software...

Re: CENTRO-M
All that would be great at that price point (if it were possible). Your project needs a Centro M. But all I would like to see is a smaller Centro C version for more typical sized projects just like the Global Cache-100-106 in size, one RS232 and three IRs. But this unit would have the Centro App bui...

Re: Interfacing with Demopad externally & Other questions
Interfacing externally. If you buy the Centro C which is good value for money on larger projects (or multi zone) you can then use it's 8 digital inputs to run Macros in Demopad. You can use any push to make wall switch (cheap to buy) or run the switching out of your digital lighting system's volt fr...

Centro App handshake
When using Centro C app remote connection setup everything works fine remotely until the app is closed - re opening the app kills the handshake and will not re-connect until I am back on my own network. However the paid Demopad app works 100% all of the time from anywhere! How does the handshake wor...
