Re: Got New Router, Can't Get WF2IR to Work Now

I figured it out after I slept on it. I was setting the WF2IR to the address of my wireless router. I did try a different IP on the same subnet and it didn't work. Turns out some other device was already using that IP too. I then tried setting the WF2IR at a much higher range on the same subnet and ...

Got New Router, Can't Get WF2IR to Work Now

I got a new wireless router, Netgear N300, it is only a router so I still have a separate modem. I set-up the router and have internet access of all my other devices in the house so I know it is working. I connected directly to the WF2IR by resetting it, connecting to it and going to 169.254.1.70 in...

Re: WF2IR Stopped Working, Tried Resetting

Finally got it working. I downloaded iTest from Global Cache and connected to the WF2IR, I then sent an example stream and the port LED blinked so I knew the unit was ok. I then opened up DemoPad and my project and went to my commands and clicked "test command". Again, the output port LED on the WF2...

Re: WF2IR Stopped Working, Tried Resetting

Nope, the output port LEDs on the WF2IR are still not responding. I also created a thread at Global Cache but never received a reply.

Re: WF2IR Stopped Working, Tried Resetting

Thanks, in Hercules I went to "Test Mode" tab and typed in the IP and Port (192.168.0.9 and 4998). In the received data section it says connected to 192.168.0.9. In the sent data section is has NVT: and then some hexadecimal data.

WF2IR Stopped Working, Tried Resetting

I have a WF2IR used in conjunction with an iPad Mini and DemoPad. This last weekend it stopped working. I first tried rebooting the iPad, I then tried rebooting the WF2IR unit. Today I tried using a paperclip and resetting the WF2IR. I then re-entered all my settings and it still does not work. The ...

Re: Commands will delay and then "catch up"

I did play with that but not since I moved it closer to the router. I can try that again but like I said if you manually push it multiple times quickly it will do the same thing.

Re: Commands will delay and then "catch up"

Well, I'm still having this issue. I moved the WF2IR closer, it is now about 10' away from my router. I also made my own IR blaster because the one that came with the WF2IR went out on me. It seems to mostly be the volume which is set for a repeat command. The only thing I can think is to change it ...

Re: IR Blaster Not Working

I built my own blaster using some IR LED's that I had. It is working great, I'd actually like to make a multi direction blaster using 3 or 4 LED's. Anyone know how many LED's port 3 can power? Also, are the outputs current limited or should I add a resistor? I measured the DC voltage pretty low at ....

IR Blaster Not Working

Lately I have had issues with DemoPad and my WiFi2IR unit. All of a sudden commands would catch up and my volume would keep increasing, I have had to jump and block the IR signal many times to keep from blowing my speakers. It wouldn't just do this with the volume buttons though, any of them. Then i...

Re: Commands will delay and then "catch up"

Yes, but get the mono versions, not stereo for Global Cache IR emitters. Moving the WF2IR closer would just be to test initially - there are many factors involved in wireless communication - distance being one, but there is also external interference / home insulation etc etc - just trying to rule ...

Re: Commands will delay and then "catch up"

I'll have to play with it some more. Yesterday I left it in its current location and the LED's blinked almost immediately as I used DemoPad. I only had a few minutes to play with it so I will try again...

Re: Commands will delay and then "catch up"

Really? 20' is getting to be too much for the WF2IR? I know it is B but that is pretty poor, I would've gotten the IP2IR if I knew that. I will try experimenting while watching the red LED. Could I use these to get more length? http://www.ebay.com/itm/12-ft-3-5mm-Male-to-3-5mm-Female-M-F-Audio-Stere...

Re: Commands will delay and then "catch up"

I may be able to move it a couple feet closer but that is it. I ran the blaster in my wall and have the eye on top of my rear speaker where it will hit my rack. I also have 1 emitter ran in the wall and on the plate of my Lutron IR switch, the cable lengths are already pretty much maxed out. The WF2...
